Depalletizers
Depalletizers are designed in two different styles. One style is the Low Level Depalletizer and is supplied with containers at floor level. The second style, High Level Depalletizer, is supplied with raw materials from a hopper area well above the floor grade. Depalletizers are used for the leveling and stocking of such products as drums, sacks, bags, pails, cans, cases, and various other product types. When selecting a depalletizer, it is important to consider the type of goods the depalletizer machine will be required to handle, as not all depalletizing machines are equipped to handle all package types.
With the use of either type of depalletizer, the feed is received in a rolling fashion and is continuously transferred. In some cases, depalletizers do not have feed areas and are instead robotic. The feed area in some depalletizers has been replaced by robotics. The controlled arm of the robot picks and then places the containers to the pre-determined offload position. These machines are very gentle on the product. Depalletizers are very versatile in terms of their configuration possibilities.
Things to consider when purchasing this machine type is the design speed of the line, the footprint it needs to fit in, the lifting requirements of the containers along with anything custom to the application.
