Uncasers and Decasers provide an efficient means of removing containers from corrugated boxes at high speeds. The containers are usually subsequently fed onto a conveyor or conveying system for further disposition. Uncasing and decasing systems are typically used in high speed automated packaging plants, recycling plants and other facilities requiring rapid, reliable, hands-off container extraction.
The construction, design, and general requirements of uncasing and decasing systems vary greatly by industry, including the Food, Beverage, Pharmaceutical, Nutraceutical, Consumer Products, and Chemical Industries. Packagers who buy bottles or containers in reshipper cases can achieve high speeds and quick changeovers to unload a full range of glass or plastic containers, round or non-round. Generally speaking, uncasers and decasers are classified into two groups:
-
Lift-Off Bottle Uncaser: If cases are to be discharged inverted, cases are lifted off the containers in order for the containers to be singulated.
-
Lift-Out Bottle Decaser or Uncaser: Physically grabs the containers from within the case in a non-inverted position and lifts them out for singulation.
At any given time, BPDM typically has a variety of case handling systems in its used, rebuilt and/or reconditioned inventory. We can also furnish new equipment or produce a system incorporating custom design features. Please contact us with your requirements if you would like to discuss your applications.
